Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, Night shifts, 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Caring for oncology patients on a specialized unit, providing direct patient care during night shifts
- Administering chemotherapy and other medications as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Monitoring patient responses and adjusting care plans accordingly
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient treatment and recovery
- Documenting patient care activities accurately in electronic medical records (Cerner)
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of recent oncology nursing experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Chemo certification or experience administering chemotherapy treatments
- Experience with electronic medical records systems, preferably Cerner
- Strong team player with a willingness to learn and adapt
