Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend required; weekend schedule may vary based on facility need
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric inpatients with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions
- Care for patients with cardiovascular diagnoses including sepsis, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and coronary artery disease
- Monitor and manage patients receiving IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation
- Float to other units and/or campuses as needed based on census, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies
- Complete all required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements within designated timeframes
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina LVN / LPN license
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a telemetry or equivalent unit
- Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR
- Must reside more than 100 miles from all system facilities to be eligible at full rate; candidates residing 90–99.9 miles may be considered at a reduced rate; candidates residing under 90 miles are ineligible. Exception: Night shift Telemetry travelers must be 50+ miles from the contracted campus only — 100+ miles for full rate, 50–99.9 miles accepted at a reduced rate, under 50 miles is ineligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience caring for patients on vasoactive infusions and anticoagulation therapy
- Prior travel nursing experience; first-time travelers considered based on experience
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
