Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Projected Start: September 21, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a combined Orthopedic and Medical Surgical unit (30-bed Ortho unit and 37-bed Med Surg unit)
- Manage a patient load at a typical ratio of 6:1, utilizing teamwork strategies and a patient-centered care approach
- Document patient information and care activities using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- Float to inpatient units to take patients, and assist with tasks in CCU and ED as needed per floating policy
- Collaborate with PCTs, SNEs, and unit secretaries to ensure efficient unit operations
- Adhere to unit dress code: scrubs required; no fleece, hoodies, sweatshirts, sweaters, denim, camo, or shoes with holes
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Ability to manage a full patient load and work effectively within a team-based environment
- Positive attitude and commitment to patient-centered care
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in Orthopedics or Medical Surgical nursing
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
- Experience working in a high-census inpatient environment with a 6:1 patient ratio
