Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments in accordance with RN scope of practice, considering patient culture, age, and developmental level
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care in coordination with patients, families, and the inter-professional team
• Fully implement patient care therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy within scope of practice, explaining procedures and treatments to patients and families
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition in a timely and appropriate manner
• Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor accuracy and completeness of delegated care provided by other team members
• Actively participate in quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and documentation auditing

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) required
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the care team
• Proficiency with or ability to be trained on relevant computer systems and applications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous nursing experience in an operating room or surgical setting
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
