Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist – NICU (Night Shift)
Location
Brandon, FL | Level 3 NICU – Acute Care
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every other weekend and holidays on rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy coverage in a 36-bed Level 3 NICU, maintaining a 2-therapist staffing model during peak volumes
- Manage conventional and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation using Drager VN500 ventilators and 3100A Oscillators
- Administer surfactant and Nitric Oxide therapy using Mallinckrodt systems; support Vapotherm high-flow therapy
- Perform blood gas acquisition and interpretation
- Attend high-risk deliveries as a member of the clinical team
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech and NeoNotes EMR systems
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Minimum of 1 year of experience; Level 3 NICU experience required (candidates with 3–5 years of Level 2 NICU experience may be considered)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Ability to work independently, think critically, and maintain strong attention to detail
Preferred Experience / Skills
- STABLE certification preferred; candidates holding this certification will be given priority consideration
- Experience with high-frequency oscillatory ventilation and Nitric Oxide administration
- Familiarity with Meditech and/or NeoNotes EMR platforms
