Key Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy services across outpatient, inpatient, and skilled nursing facility (SNF) settings within a critical access hospital environment
- Treat patients of all ages and diagnoses, including participation in specialty areas such as wound care, lymphedema, pelvic floor, and pediatric therapy
- Float within scope of practice to cover outpatient, acute care, and SNF needs as required by the facility
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
- Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Required Qualifications
- Active Alaska Physical Therapist license required — no pending licenses accepted; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — locals are not accepted
- Must be willing to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted location
- Two professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working with pediatric and adolescent patient populations
- Background in specialty therapy areas such as wound care, lymphedema, or pelvic floor rehabilitation
- Prior experience in a critical access hospital or multi-setting therapy department
