Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, including patient preparation, positioning, and immobilization to best demonstrate the anatomic area of interest
• Prepare, calculate, identify, and/or administer radiopharmaceuticals and medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner
• Select and operate radiation detection, imaging, and associated equipment; evaluate images for technical quality and ensure proper identification is recorded
• Corroborate patient clinical history with the procedure and ensure documentation is available for the licensed practitioner
• Perform venipuncture and practice aseptic techniques as necessary; initiate basic life support when required
• Participate in department quality assessment and improvement activities, and provide practical instruction for students and other healthcare professionals

Required Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nuclear medicine program
• ARRT registration as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) registration required
• Current BLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of nuclear medicine technology experience
• CRASE training (required if assignment extends beyond 6 months)
