Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical ICU setting within a short-term acute care, teaching facility
• Document all patient care activities using EPIC electronic health records
• Float within scope to meet facility needs across up to three hospital locations within approximately 20 miles
• Complete required specialty-specific modules prior to start date, prioritizing time-sensitive components promptly upon assignment confirmation
• Adhere to a strict attendance and call-in policy as required by the facility

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license (no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 18 months of MICU experience required
• EPIC experience required
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross required at time of submittal
• ACLS certification required at time of submittal
• NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start
• Must pass EKG and Pharmacology tests during orientation (two attempts maximum; no remediation; cancellation if failed)
• Must be nicotine-free; negative 10-panel plus nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application; no additions will be accepted after submission
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of MICU experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care or ICU environment
• Familiarity with annual hands-on nursing competency requirements in a large health system
