Travel - Certified Surgical Technologist / First Assist (CST FA)

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Call rotation required (approximately 2 call shifts per week, including weekday nights and weekends)

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a surgical first assist in a 16-room operating room department performing a broad range of surgical procedures excluding transplant and cardiac surgery
• Function within a 1:1 patient ratio model alongside RN and surgical assistant teammates per OR room
• Operate and assist with advanced surgical equipment including robotics, neurosurgery, general, plastics, urology, and orthopedic instrumentation
• Document and manage patient information using the Meditech EMR system
• Participate in call rotation averaging approximately 2 call shifts per week, covering weekday nights and weekend primary and backup call

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia surgical technologist license required
• Robotic surgical experience required — candidates without this will not be considered
• Orthopedic surgical experience required — candidates without this will not be considered
• Neuro/spine surgical experience required — candidates without this will not be considered
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CST/First Assist

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience across a broad range of surgical specialties including general, plastics, and urology
• Strong team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced OR environment
• Familiarity with Meditech or comparable surgical EMR platforms
