Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 19:00–07:00

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a community hospital Emergency Room setting
• Document and manage patient records using EPIC electronic health record system (required)
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed
• Complete all required facility orientation modules during the orientation week
• Comply with facility policies including fingerprinting requirements for ER staff as outlined by state regulations

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submittal
• EPIC charting experience required — no exceptions
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Must submit to fingerprinting prior to start; candidates are not eligible to begin with results pending (average processing time is 15–20 business days)
• 2 professional references required
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same base rate — no radius restrictions apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience in an emergency room setting
• Familiarity with facility compliance and onboarding processes
