Registered Nurse – PICU / Pediatric Float Pool

Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 or 48 hours per week | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Float to various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
• Deliver age-appropriate, evidence-based nursing care to pediatric and neonatal patient populations
• Adapt clinical practice across multiple specialty units in accordance with facility float pool policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Adhere to all facility policies, including floating requirements within scope of practice

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• NICU experience required; must be comfortable across pediatric specialty areas
• Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted; must be in hand prior to start date)
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending)
• Epic EMR experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous NICU/PICU float pool experience strongly preferred
• Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
• BSN preferred
