Ultrasound Technologist – Maternal Fetal Medicine / OB-GYN Sonographer

Schedule / Job Type
Contract (16–26 weeks) | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Monday–Sunday with weekend coverage on an as-needed basis
Key Responsibilities
- Perform OB/GYN ultrasound examinations including fetal anatomy scans (routine and detailed), follow-up OB, biophysical profiles (BPP), umbilical and MCA Dopplers, first trimester scans, pelvic studies, sonohysterograms, and HyCoSy procedures
- Support Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM), OB/GYN, midwifery, and REI clinical teams with high-quality diagnostic imaging
- Manage a patient caseload of up to 8 patients per day across morning and afternoon sessions, adjusting for multi-gestational cases
- Document and manage imaging workflows using EPIC EMR
- Work 2 out of 4 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day
- Operate across a large, multi-site Level I Trauma facility campus
Required Qualifications
- ARDMS registration with OB/GYN credential required
- Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound experience in OB/GYN
- Prior travel assignment experience required
- Large teaching hospital experience required
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable
- Candidates must have reliable personal or rental transportation; public transportation is not accessible in this area — all-season or snow tires are strongly recommended November through April
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) scanning, including high-risk OB cases
- Familiarity with GYN-only or early dating OB scanning for candidates with limited MFM experience
- Comfort working in a high-volume, fast-paced academic or teaching hospital environment
