Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every other weekend required | On-call not required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic electronic health records
• Float within scope to like units or sister facilities as needed to meet facility staffing needs
• Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November), as required by facility policy

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or a Compact RN license — must be in hand prior to start date
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience
• Telemetry competency required
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; locals may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
