Contract | 12 Weeks | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend | Holidays as Needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an intensive care unit setting with a patient ratio of 1:2, occasionally 1:3
• Deliver specialized nursing care with a focus on neurological and stroke patients
• Perform and interpret EKG monitoring as part of routine patient assessment; a passed EKG test is required at time of submission
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Float to other inpatient units and additional worksites (Skokie, Highland Park, and Glenbrook) as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Minimum 2 years of strong ICU experience, specifically in Neuro and/or Stroke
• Proficiency with EPIC charting
• Must be willing to float to other inpatient units and regional worksites
• New graduates are not eligible for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 5 or more years of ICU nursing experience
• Prior experience in a high-acuity neurological or stroke intensive care environment
