Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (26 Weeks) | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week | Every other weekend, every other holiday; must work 2 of 3 winter holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services within a children's hospital setting, including care for neonatal and pediatric patients
• Deliver care in a Level 4 NICU environment, managing complex neonatal respiratory needs
• Support patients in a cardiac PICU setting as applicable
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed per facility policy
• Participate in self-scheduling model and adhere to unit scheduling expectations, including holiday coverage requirements
• Complete specialty-specific orientation modules as required during onboarding

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• Active Virginia state license required; pending license accepted provided a temporary license can be obtained before the start date — candidate must hold an active license in another state to be eligible for a temporary Virginia license
• Minimum Level 4 NICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must not exceed 365 total assignment days at this facility; prior assignment history must be disclosed at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) certification preferred
• Cardiac PICU experience preferred
