Registered Nurse – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 6-Week Assignment | 10-Hour Day Shifts | Start Time 11:00 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in Pre-op, Post-op, and Phase 1 PACU settings
- Float within the PACU department as needed
- Maintain punctuality and readiness at the start of each shift — tardiness is not tolerated in this department
- Collaborate as an active team member, demonstrating a positive and cooperative attitude
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care consistent with acute care standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN License
- Current CPR certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Minimum 3 years of solid core staff experience in an acute care setting
- At least 2 successfully completed travel contracts
- Must submit an updated resume reflecting the above experience, a current skills checklist, and 2 professional references — at least one from a supervisor in a PACU setting within the last year
Preferred Experience / Skills
- History of contract extensions, demonstrating consistent performance and reliability
- Seasoned PACU nursing background with strong clinical competency
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and positively within a team environment
