Registered Nurse – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Contract | 10-Hour Evening Shifts | Start Time 11:00 AM – 9:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care in Pre-Op, Post-Op, and Phase 1 PACU settings
• Float within the PACU department as needed to support patient care operations
• Deliver timely, high-quality care — punctuality and readiness at shift start are essential in this department
• Collaborate as an active team player, contributing positively to department workflow and patient outcomes
• Monitor and manage patients recovering from anesthesia, identifying and responding to changes in condition

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN License
• Current CPR Certification required
• Current ACLS Certification required
• Minimum 3 years of solid core staff experience in an acute care setting
• At least 2 successfully completed travel contracts
• Updated resume reflecting the above experience, updated skills checklist, and 2 professional references — at least one from a supervisor in a PACU setting from a travel contract within the last year
• New graduates are not eligible for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• History of contract extensions, demonstrating consistent performance and client satisfaction
• Seasoned PACU nursing background with a positive, team-oriented attitude
