Contract | 3 x 12-hour shifts per week | Night shift (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM) | Expected 36 hours/week | 13–25 week contracts available with a firm end date of 03/27/2027

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting, managing patients across a range of acuity levels
• Float to areas within acuity as needed to support unit staffing requirements
• Participate in holiday coverage on an every-other-holiday rotation and weekend coverage every third weekend
• Utilize the Epic EMR system for documentation, patient management, and care coordination
• Coordinate timely shift handoff, including verbal report to oncoming staff and documentation of outstanding tasks in the EMR
• Adhere to facility meal break policies and shift management expectations

Required Qualifications

• Active Delaware RN license or Compact RN license required — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience required; no exceptions
• Recent Epic EMR experience required
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of initial submission; requests submitted after will not be considered
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to local bill rate terms
• Overtime and incidental overtime are not authorized for travel RNs at this facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume or trauma-level emergency department
• Strong ability to manage shift transitions efficiently, particularly during codes, rapid response events, or significant clinical events near end of shift
• Familiarity with charge nurse collaboration and escalation protocols
