Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-risk obstetric nursing care in a Labor & Delivery and OBED setting across a 23-bed unit
- Administer and monitor specialty drips including magnesium and insulin drips
- Perform circulating and scrub roles as required within the unit
- Maintain a 2:1 patient ratio during night shift alongside a team of 4–6 RNs, 1 CST, and 1 unit secretary
- Fulfill an on-call requirement of 1 shift every 4 weeks
- Float within the women's service line to Postpartum and Antepartum units as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in Texas or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 1 year of travel RN experience in high-risk OB Labor & Delivery
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Proficiency with CPN/Meditech EMR systems preferred; familiarity with comparable EMR platforms required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- OBED (Obstetric Emergency Department) experience
- High-risk and high-volume OB experience
- Team-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
