Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population including infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in a freestanding emergency department
• Respond to and participate in stroke codes, heart codes, trauma codes, cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, and external pacing procedures
• Perform and assist with moderate sedation and other special emergency procedures
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR
• Deliver safe patient handoff at change of shift, communicating outstanding tasks and critical information to oncoming staff or charge nurse
• Manage patient assignments within a typical 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio in a unit of 21–30 beds

Required Qualifications

• Active Delaware RN license or valid Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience (no exceptions)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (all certifications must be provided with expiration dates)
• Recent hands-on experience with Epic EMR
• Ability to work every other holiday and every third weekend as required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner EMR documentation
• Familiarity with high-acuity emergency procedures including moderate sedation and resuscitation events
• Experience working in a freestanding or high-volume emergency department setting
