Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3 x 12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week | 12-week assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 31–40 bed intermediate care / PCU unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 to 1:5
• Manage and treat patients presenting with common diagnoses including pneumonia, kidney disease, GI bleed, COPD, CVA, CHF, diabetes, hypertension, and alcohol and opioid withdrawal
• Perform and maintain specialized procedures including feeding tube care, CVC care, Foley catheter insertion and maintenance, tracheostomy care, chest tube management, and administration of inotrope IV medications
• Document all patient care accurately using Cerner EMR</strong>; recent Epic experience is also required per unit expectations
• Fulfill every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday requirements as part of the standard schedule
• Float to other units as directed by staffing when needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Delaware RN license or valid Compact RN license required — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in PCU, intermediate care, or stepdown nursing — no exceptions
• Recent Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency with Cerner charting system
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing patients with complex diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, CVA, and withdrawal syndromes
• Familiarity with advanced nursing procedures including chest tube management and inotrope IV administration
• Strong time management skills with demonstrated ability to complete handoff and documentation efficiently at shift change
