Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (36 hours/week) | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Weekend Days (Friday/Saturday) + 1 Weekday Shift
Key Responsibilities
- Float across multiple critical care units based on staffing needs and patient acuity, including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, MICU, and NCCU
- Provide direct patient care in high-acuity intensive care settings, adapting quickly to varying unit environments
- Perform IV insertions, telemetry monitoring, and ventilator management as part of routine critical care duties
- Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity in accordance with float pool policy
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using EPIC electronic health records
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records required
- Demonstrated competency in IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management
- Valid compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
- Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Locals are welcome and accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience floating across multiple ICU specialties or working in a float pool environment
- Familiarity with neurological, cardiovascular, and surgical critical care patient populations
- Strong adaptability and ability to quickly orient to new unit environments
