Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM | 3x12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 37-bed, Level 2 Trauma Emergency Department with a 1:4 patient ratio in zone
- Operate GE monitoring equipment and document accurately using MediTech EMR
- Deliver high-caliber patient experience across all interactions in a fast-paced ED environment
- Perform standard ED procedures and respond appropriately to a diverse patient population including pediatric patients
- Float as needed to support ED patients admitted and holding within the department
- Adhere to a schedule that includes 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period; no on-call requirement
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in the state of Texas or compact license eligibility
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- TNCC certification required
- Proficiency with MediTech EMR
- High-caliber patient experience skills are essential; candidates without this will not be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an HCA facility
- Familiarity with Level 2 Trauma center workflows and procedures typical of a busy ED
- High energy, self-motivated, and team-oriented personality
- Ability to commit to an early start date with minimal time-off requests during the assignment
