Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Step-Down/IMC/PCU setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage and titrate vasopressors, sedation medications, and insulin drips
• Care for patients requiring trach vents, arterial lines, external pacemakers, and chest tubes
• Float within service line to lower-acuity floors as needed to meet facility staffing needs
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Fulfill weekend requirements of 2 shifts every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (MO or compact license required; compact must match permanent residence)
• Minimum 2 years of Step-Down, IMC, or PCU nursing experience
• ACLS certification required
• BLS/BCLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with vasopressor titration and hemodynamic monitoring
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system
• Experience managing tracheostomy, ventilator, and chest tube patients in a step-down environment
