Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with an expected nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• Perform cardiac monitoring including interpretation of dysrhythmias and coordinate with Rapid Response and Code teams as needed
• Administer blood products and manage central lines, peripheral lines, and IV therapy; perform phlebotomy as required
• Apply respiratory support techniques including nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• Maintain strict isolation precautions and proper PPE use in accordance with infection control protocols
• Float to all areas holding Med-Surg patients as needed per unit requirements; strong Med-Surg background required

Required Qualifications

• Active NC RN license or valid Compact RN license (pending licensure acceptable at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting required
• BCLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Proficiency in Epic and Pyxis systems
• Must be willing to float to all areas holding Med-Surg patients within or near the facility
• Local candidates are welcome; candidates within 50 miles of the facility will be subject to a local pay rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Telemetry unit experience
• Experience with management of dysrhythmias
• OCN certification
• Chemotherapy administration experience and/or certification
