Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within an orthopedic surgery unit, ensuring safe and high-quality nursing practice throughout each shift
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for orthopedic surgical patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and facilitate positive outcomes
• Monitor patients pre- and post-operatively, identifying and responding to changes in clinical status
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and responses in the electronic health record
• Adhere to facility protocols, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in North Carolina or a compact state license that permits practice in North Carolina
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience in orthopedic or surgical nursing
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts within a fast-paced acute care environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in an orthopedic or surgical setting
• Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgical care environments
• Experience working in a large, high-volume hospital or regional referral center
