Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Projected Start: October 12, 2026 | Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care within an orthopedic surgery unit, ensuring safe and high-quality nursing practice throughout each shift
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for orthopedic surgical patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and facilitate positive outcomes
- Monitor patients pre- and post-operatively, identifying and responding to changes in clinical status
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and responses in the electronic health record
- Adhere to facility protocols, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in North Carolina or a compact state license that permits practice in North Carolina
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience in orthopedic or surgical nursing
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts within a fast-paced acute care environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in an orthopedic or surgical setting
- Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgical care environments
- Experience working in a large, high-volume hospital or regional referral center
