Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Three 12-hour shifts per week | Expected two weekends (four shifts) per four-week schedule | Projected Start: October 12, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed Neuro Med/Surg unit with a 6:1 patient ratio
• Utilize unit equipment including IV pumps, telemetry, continuous pulse ox machines, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, and iMobile communication technology
• Perform and maintain skills including IV starts, basic wound care, surgical drain management, nasogastric tube care, and chest tube maintenance
• Document accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Conduct bedside shift reports and actively include patients and family members in their plan of care, providing attentive and compassionate service
• Participate in unit floating rotation as applicable; contract labor is first to float when multiple contract staff are scheduled

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience
• Ability to prioritize care and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms) required as dress code

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Neuro Med/Surg or stroke-related care setting
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
• Experience working in a trauma-verified or stroke-certified facility
