Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Step-Down unit, monitoring patients requiring an intermediate level of care between ICU and general medical-surgical floors
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in accordance with unit protocols and facility standards
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered, with careful attention to patient safety and documentation accuracy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams including physicians, therapists, and ancillary staff to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, initiating appropriate escalation procedures as needed during overnight shifts

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in Tennessee or a compact state license accepted in Tennessee
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in a PCU, Step-Down, or IMC setting
• Ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a progressive care or step-down environment
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Strong adaptability and ability to integrate quickly into new clinical environments
