Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Three 12-hour shifts per week | Every other weekend required | Projected Start: October 19, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a progressive care unit with patient ratios of 1:4–1:5 on days, utilizing unit technicians to support patient care delivery
• Manage and monitor cardiac drips, heparin drips, insulin drips, and peritoneal dialysis; troubleshoot wound vacs in coordination with wound care team
• Operate and monitor equipment including BiPAPs, high-flow O2, Vapotherm, and Alaris pumps; apply experience with multiple oxygen delivery systems
• Perform and assist with unit procedures including peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertions, Dobhoff/NG tube insertions, and central line dressing changes
• Conduct hourly patient rounding, maintain communication boards, and adhere to AIDET patient experience standards
• Document all care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system; participate in self-scheduling within a 4-week schedule cycle

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (compact or Tennessee state license)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU, step-down, or IMC nursing experience
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills and EKG rhythm interpretation ability
• Experience with cardiac drips, heparin drips, insulin drips, and peripheral IV insertion

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Peritoneal dialysis experience
• Experience with stroke care and post-cardiac catheterization care
• Experience with tube feedings and NG/Dobhoff tube management
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation platform
