Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Days | 4x10-hour shifts with varied start times (earliest 6:00 AM) | On-call rotation required (approximately 8 shifts per month, including rotating weekends and holidays)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical or procedural sedation in a PACU setting
• Perform pre-operative assessments and preparation as part of combined PACU and PreOp responsibilities
• Monitor patient vitals, manage pain, and respond to changes in patient condition during the recovery phase
• Participate in on-call rotation covering weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe patient transitions and continuity of care

Required Qualifications

• Active Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of PACU and PreOp experience
• New graduates are not eligible for this position
• Must comply with nicotine-free facility policy

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience
• Familiarity with virtual orientation processes
