Schedule / Job Type
Contract (13 Weeks) | Days | 4x10-hour shifts with varied start times (earliest 6:00 AM) | On-call rotation required (approximately 8 shifts per month, including rotating weekends and holidays)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical or procedural sedation in a PACU setting
- Perform pre-operative assessments and preparation as part of combined PACU and PreOp responsibilities
- Monitor patient vitals, manage pain, and respond to changes in patient condition during the recovery phase
- Participate in on-call rotation covering weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe patient transitions and continuity of care
Required Qualifications
- Active Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of PACU and PreOp experience
- New graduates are not eligible for this position
- Must comply with nicotine-free facility policy
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Familiarity with virtual orientation processes
