Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating shifts, primarily 12-hour shifts with some 8-hour shifts; every other weekend and holidays required. Weekend and straight night status may be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapy assessments and protocols, including arterial punctures and blood gas analysis
• Manage ventilator and non-invasive ventilation (NIV) therapy; assist with intubations, bedside tracheostomy placement, tracheostomy changes, decannulation, and extubations
• Deliver medications, provide airway clearance therapies, and assist with bedside bronchoscopy
• Participate in emergency response teams, ICU rounds, and patient intrahospital transport
• Utilize a wide range of respiratory equipment including Epic EMR, Hamilton G5 & C1, V60, Airvo, Nitric Oxide, 3100B HFOV, ResMed AutoPAPs, Radiometer ABL90 Flex, and various home ventilators
• May float to other campus locations within the Fargo area as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience
• Level 1 trauma and ICU experience required
• Experience working in a facility with 300+ beds
• Active North Dakota state license (NDSBRC) required — candidates willing to apply within 72 hours of offer acceptance will be considered; licensure processing may take 3–6 weeks
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and may be subject to an adjusted rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• RRT (NBRC certification) preferred; CRT will be considered
• Emergency department (ER) experience preferred
• ACLS and PALS certifications (AHA) preferred
• Experience in Adult/NICU or Adult/PICU rotation settings
