Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3 x 12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week | 14-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical PCU/Stepdown unit, managing patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring and intervention
• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical records system for documentation, order management, and patient communication throughout the shift
• Float to areas within comparable acuity levels as needed to support unit staffing
• Adhere to shift handoff protocols, including timely charge-of-shift communication and outstanding task reporting to oncoming nursing staff
• Participate in every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday scheduling requirements
• Take assigned meal breaks as scheduled in compliance with facility policy

Required Qualifications

• Active Delaware RN license or valid Compact RN license required — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a PCU, IMC, or Stepdown specialty — no exceptions
• Recent EPIC experience required
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel placement
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of initial submission; requests made after submission will not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-acuity medical unit with cross-coverage float responsibilities
• Familiarity with code, rapid response team (RRT), and significant event protocols near change of shift
• Strong time management skills with the ability to complete documentation and handoff efficiently within scheduled shift hours
