Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days, 3x12s (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | 36 Hours per Week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Labor and Delivery setting throughout all stages of labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum
- Monitor maternal and fetal status using continuous electronic fetal monitoring and other assessment tools
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in the electronic health record
- Respond to obstetric emergencies and participate in rapid response situations as needed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
- Active, unencumbered Connecticut RN license or valid compact RN license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Meditech electronic health record system
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
- Familiarity with GE Centricity fetal monitoring software
