Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 5x8 Hours (6:45–15:15), Monday–Friday | Call requirement: one day per week and every fifth weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with and circulate diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including left and right heart catheterizations, PCI, stent placement, and PFO/ASD closures
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation; manage medications including antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, IV vasopressors, thrombolytics, and reversal agents
• Perform and interpret 12-lead EKGs, monitor for dysrhythmias, and manage hemodynamic monitoring including pulmonary artery/Swan-Ganz lines and IABP placement and removal
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including Impella, Penumbra, EKOS, Roto, Shockwave, Ultrasound, ACIST, and GE Mac Lab system
• Perform sheath removal and monitoring, IV therapy including blood product administration and IV infusion pumps, and adhere to infection prevention and isolation precautions
• Float as needed within or near the facility; participate in on-call rotation including occasional late days

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a diagnostic and/or interventional cardiac catheterization lab setting
• Proficiency in cardiac cath lab procedures including PCI, diagnostic catheterizations, IABP, and right/left heart catheterizations
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Active NC or Compact nursing/tech license (pending licensure acceptable at time of submission)
• Competency with hemodynamic monitoring, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, and Activated Clotting Time (ACT)
• Experience with documentation and medication systems including Epic and Pyxis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with advanced procedures such as TAVI/TAVR, Impella insertion, rotablader atherectomy, ASD/cardiac implant closure devices, and vascular interventions including angioplasty and upper/lower extremity angiography
• Familiarity with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose), topical hemostasis agents, external compression devices, and laser-assisted procedures
• Experience with central line insertion/management, PICC line care, implanted port maintenance, and ventilator monitoring
• Knowledge of end-tidal CO2 monitoring, hypothermia protocols, and radiation and laser safety
