Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed inpatient overflow unit serving a mixed level of care including medical-surgical and step-down patients
• Manage care for short-stay patients with a length of stay under 24 hours, adapting to a high-turnover environment
• Monitor patients via hardwired bedside telemetry monitors and respond to changes in patient condition
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6 depending on level of care, collaborating with charge nurses, CNAs, and interdisciplinary team members
• Document all patient care accurately using Cerner EMR
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Demonstrated telemetry competency
• Progressive Care (PCU/Step-down) experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Recent progressive care or step-down unit experience
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR
• Experience in high-acuity, fast-paced environments with rapid patient turnover
