Echo/Ultrasound Sonographer – Radiology / Cardiology

Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 5x8-Hour Shifts (8:00–16:30), Monday–Friday with Weekend Rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Perform adult echocardiograms and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
• Utilize Definity contrast agents and perform contrast-enhanced studies
• Conduct 3D echo and bubble studies in a cardiology setting
• Support cardiac diagnostic workups including evaluations for shortness of breath and chest pain
• Float within the hospital within scope of practice as needed
• Document and manage studies using Philips imaging systems and Cerner EMR

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of echocardiography/sonography experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
• Active BLS certification required
• RDCS certification required
• Valid Maryland or Compact state license required at time of submission
• Proficiency with Philips echocardiography equipment required
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with the full range of advanced echo modalities including 3D echo, bubble studies, TEE, and contrast agents
• Prior travel assignment experience in a cardiology or radiology setting
