Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM), Monday–Friday | On-call required (5–8 calls per month, including weekends; holiday call may be required)

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate general operating room cases across a variety of surgical specialties
• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care in a high-acuity, Level I Trauma Center environment
• Participate in on-call rotation, including weekend and potential holiday call coverage
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Participate in emergency response team assignments as required during hurricane season (June–November)

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or multi-state compact RN license — must be in hand at contract start
• Minimum 2 years of operating room nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to both scrub and circulate general OR cases
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications — must be American Heart Association (AHA) issued
• Radiation badge required (provided by agency)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience circulating and scrubbing in specialty areas including Plastics, Colorectal, Urology, MIS, Pancreatic/Biliary, and Surgical Oncology
• Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgical procedures
• Prior experience in a teaching facility or Magnet-designated hospital
