Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Shift start times vary: 0645–1915 or 0900–2130 | Weekend availability required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients in the operating room setting within an acute hospital environment
- Utilize Epic electronic health records system for accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Float to like units within the facility or affiliate hospitals as needed to meet staffing requirements
- Participate in on-call coverage limited to call-off situations only
- Work a minimum of two out of three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
Required Qualifications
- Active Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending license accepted for submission; must be in hand prior to offer)
- Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates accepted)
- Must be willing to float within scope to like units as needed
- Two professional references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years required prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification
- Prior experience with Epic charting system
