Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every 3rd Weekend | Holidays as Needed | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized inpatient rehabilitation nursing care for patients with diagnoses including CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injury, neurological conditions, and generalized debility
• Perform medication reconciliation, interpretation of laboratory results, and thorough patient health history and allergy documentation
• Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, respirations, temperature, and pulse
• Perform wound care including dressing changes and setup of aseptic and sterile procedure trays
• Collect and label specimens including capillary, throat, urine (UA clean catch), and phlebotomy samples
• Manage telephone triage and pharmacy calls including patient refill requests; maintain a patient ratio of 1:6

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records – required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; current driver's license required to confirm address
• Must be prepared to pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam (2 attempts allowed; no study materials provided) as required for all RNs regardless of specialty

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in acute care rehabilitation settings
• Familiarity with post-stroke, post-aneurysm, and post-operative surgical patient populations
