Travel RN – PCU / Progressive Care Unit (Night Shift)

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed Multi-Trauma PCU unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Manage and monitor complex trauma patients, including those requiring chest tubes, tracheostomies, and suctioning
- Operate and troubleshoot unit equipment including ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, wound vacs, specialty beds, and suction devices
- Perform and assist with bedside procedures including chest tube placement and bedside bronchoscopy
- Document accurately using the Meditech / CPN electronic medical records system
- Collaborate with charge nurses, techs, and physicians in a fast-paced, high-acuity team environment
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PCU experience (2 years preferred)
- Active RN license valid in the state of Colorado
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR system
- Experience managing chest tubes, tracheostomy patients, and high-acuity trauma populations
- Team-oriented mindset with comfort working in a highly acute, fast-paced environment
