Job Title
- Interventional Radiology / Special Procedures Technologist
Location
- Asheville, NC
Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, Days shift, 40 hours per week, 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Perform interventional radiology procedures including neurointerventional, vascular, and other specialty procedures.
- Scrub and circulate during a variety of complex cases such as cerebral arteriograms, coilings, embolizations, Y-90, TIPS, and nephrostomy tubes.
- Assist with dialysis procedures including Permcaths, fistulagrams, and nephrostomy tubes.
- Operate and maintain advanced imaging equipment, including GE single-plane, Philips biplane, and invasive CT scanners.
- Adhere to unit policies, maintain sterile fields, and ensure patient safety during procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality care.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in Interventional Radiology (scrubbing and circulating)
- Neurointerventional Radiology experience preferred
- BLS certification
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Vascular or Cath Lab experience
- Knowledge of complex IR procedures such as coilings, pipeline placements, or embolizations
- Experience with invasive procedures like TIPS, Y-90, or vertebroplasties
