Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Oncology)

Contract | Days / Nights Rotating | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Day: 7:00–19:30 / Night: 19:00–7:30

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Oncology unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring for patients receiving chemotherapy and manage telemetry using the GE B450 monitor system
• Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and IV medications; manage central lines, PICC lines, arterial lines, and implanted ports
• Provide symptom management for patients experiencing disease-related treatment effects or disease progression, including management of comorbidities
• Implement and maintain infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed based on staffing priorities

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Valid RN license (compact or state-specific) required at time of submission
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required
• Active BCLS certification required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Demonstrated skills in dysrhythmia interpretation, ABG interpretation, port access, arterial line management, central/PICC line care, IV insertion, blood product administration, chest tube assistance, and high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) management

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology nursing experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Familiarity with Alaris pumps, Stryker beds, and bladder scanner equipment
