Interventional Radiology Tech – Neurology

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time, 40 hours per week | Day Shift (8-hour or 10-hour shifts) | 13-Week Assignment | On-call required (no routine weekends; one weekend per 4-week schedule Friday–Sunday on call, plus third-man call; up to 9 call days per month)

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub in with IR physicians for complex interventional radiology procedures including thrombectomies, pulmonary embolisms, UFE, and Y90
• Perform and assist with neurological interventional procedures as part of on-call coverage
• Maintain a 30-minute call-back response time for neuro cases and 45-minute call-back response time for IR body cases
• Participate in on-call rotation covering up to 9 call days per month, including one weekend (Friday–Sunday) per 4-week schedule
• Ensure proper documentation, patient safety, and adherence to imaging protocols throughout all procedures

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of interventional radiology experience
• Travel experience required
• Active Illinois (IL) IEMA license required
• ARRT certification required
• BLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Neuro interventional experience strongly preferred — please highlight on submission
• Familiarity with complex IR procedures such as thrombectomies, pulmonary embolism interventions, UFE, and Y90
