Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every other weekend expected | Projected Start: August 3, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 44-bed Progressive Care Unit with a patient ratio of 4:1 (up to 5:1 when stretched)
- Perform neurological and spinal checks, C-collar placement, and TLSO brace management
- Manage chest tubes, PCA pumps, IV infusions, lumbar drains, and feeding tube placement
- Administer blood transfusions and monitor patients on tracheostomy and patient lift equipment
- Utilize Cerner EMR for accurate and timely documentation
- Float to stepdown and med-surg units as needed; collaborate as a team player in a patient-focused environment
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in North Carolina (or compact license eligibility)
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Neuro and trauma care experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Strong background in neuro and trauma care within a progressive care or stepdown setting
- Experience with Cerner EMR
- Familiarity with Skylift and patient lift equipment
