Contract | Full-Time | Nights – 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM | Occasional Weekends | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process for maternity and labor and delivery patients.
- Administer medications and perform treatments in a safe and accurate manner, and implement physician orders as written.
- Provide patient and family education from admission through the discharge process.
- Document the nursing process thoroughly, concisely, and accurately in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Notify the physician of pertinent observations and changes in patient status in a timely manner.
- Direct and delegate role-appropriate tasks to nursing assistants and co-workers in the implementation of patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Ohio.
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Certificate – required.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and make independent decisions.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Previous registered nursing experience, particularly in maternity or labor and delivery settings, preferred.
