Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Contract | 36 hours per week | Night shift or Rotating Day/Night | Every other weekend required | Holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an intensive care unit setting with a 1:2 patient ratio, occasionally 1:3
• Specialize in neurological and stroke patient populations within the ICU
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using EPIC electronic health records
• Float to other units and potentially other facilities as needed
• Participate in orientation on Mondays and adhere to credentialing deadlines prior to start

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois (IL) Registered Nurse License (verification required)
• BLS certification (current)
• ACLS certification (current)
• NIHSS certification
• Minimum 2 years of strong ICU experience, specifically in Neuro and Stroke
• Proficiency with EPIC charting
• Must submit a passed EKG test with a score of 80% or higher at time of submission
• Must be flexible to float to other units and potentially other facilities in the surrounding area

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with neurological and stroke patient care in a high-acuity ICU environment
• Familiarity with rotating shift schedules in a fast-paced acute care setting
• Experience floating across multiple units or facilities
