Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed telemetry and surgical floor
- Monitor and assess patients requiring telemetry and post-surgical observation
- Accurately document patient care and clinical findings using EPIC electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient treatment plans
- Float to other units as needed based on facility census and staffing requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in Virginia or a valid compact nursing license (must be in hand at time of submittal)
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
- Specialty experience in Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry within the last year
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
- NIH Stroke Scale education required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PALS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care setting
