Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 16-bed Labor and Delivery unit maintaining patient ratios of 1:1 and 1:2
- Assist with and support vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and hysterectomy procedures
- Operate and monitor Baxter infusion pumps and Philips electronic fetal monitoring equipment
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR and Fetal Ink systems
- Perform immediate newborn care and manage high-risk obstetric patients
- Float to MFMU, MOMB, and NICU units as needed and approved
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
- High-risk obstetric patient care experience
- Demonstrated competency in immediate newborn care
- Active RN licensure applicable to North Carolina
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Current BLS/ALS certification and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Circulating experience in Labor and Delivery procedures
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR and Fetal Ink documentation systems
- Outgoing, friendly, and adaptable personality well-suited to a fast-paced, collaborative unit environment
