Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process — including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation — for an assigned patient population with mixed diagnoses and acuity levels, including respiratory conditions, sepsis, and multiple co-morbidities.
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed therapies.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications administered, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identify issues and connect with appropriate resources.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to effectively manage the clinical situation.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Telemetry, IMC, or MedSurg nursing specialty.
• Active RN license in the state of Texas or a valid Compact RN license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — American Heart Association (AHA) only.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification — American Heart Association (AHA) only.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Prior experience caring for patients with respiratory illness, sepsis, or complex multi-comorbidity presentations.
