Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Oncology)

Contract | Days / Nights Rotating | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Day: 7:00–19:30 / Night: 19:00–7:30

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a mixed-acuity PCU and Medical Surgical Telemetry unit serving medical oncology patients with a variety of diagnoses including solid tumors and blood cancers
• Monitor and manage high-acuity patients using GE B450 telemetry systems, Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, bladder scanners, and continuous bladder irrigation equipment
• Adhere to and champion infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention initiatives
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity level as required based on staffing needs
• Participate in professional development opportunities, including optional chemotherapy training through an available two-day chemo course

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient nursing experience required
• Valid RN license – compact or Ohio state license must be in hand at time of submission
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• 2 professional references required; at least 1 must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership role (Charge RN acceptable for second reference; no coworker references accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 years of oncology nursing experience preferred, though not required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
